Lens not planning to terminate loan of West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo

Lens not planning to terminate loan of West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo RC Lens reportedly have no intention, as things stand, of terminating the loan of West Ham United’s Jean-Clair Todibo (26), according to information from Foot Mercato. Loaned without an option to buy by the Hammers to the French club for the 2026-27 campaign, the French defender – who was, incidentally, announced as being close to joining Olympique de Marseille last summer – is currently struggling to convince observers. Criticised for alleged behavioural issues and for being deemed not in peak physical condition, the former FC Barcelona player has made just 185 minutes of playing time (four appearances, two starts) since the start of the season. Under contract with West Ham United until 2029, Todibo is coming off the back of a full season (24 starts in 25 matches across all competitions, including 22 in the league) with the London side, despite their relegation to the Championship after finishing 18th in the Premier League table.
