'Quality' Liverpool star delights manager after major development

'Quality' Liverpool star delights manager after major development Liverpool went through a lot of change in the summer. Even last term, over £450 million was spent on new players by the Reds with many fans thinking this would set them up for the next few years. However, that evidently hasn't been the case with Liverpool even replacing their manager as well as a decent chunk of their backroom staff. But, as everyone knows, change is the best way for clubs to progress and without it, they'll end up being left behind. So, the fact that one Liverpool star is now delighting his manager is rather exciting. Harvey Elliott has been lauded by Valencia's manager, Javier Aguirre is a curious case. When Jurgen Klopp was Liverpool's manager , the Englishman was one of the first names on his team sheet. Whether he was used as a winger or a midfielder, he always put in plenty of effort and was often seen as one of the Reds' best players. However, after an extremely solid Under-21 Euro's last summer, his season-long loan move to Aston Villa put his career on hold. Unai Emery decided he didn't want to sign him permanently which led to him only featuring in nine games. After that, he returned to Liverpool in the summer and, even though fans believed he'd be able to play a regular role under Andoni Iraola, Elliott was eventually shipped out to Valencia . From the off, things didn't go well with Carlos Corberan being sacked and Elliott even being called overweight and unfit. However, thanks to what Valencia's current manager, Javier Aguirre has just said, it looks like the Englishman is getting back to his best. "I'm fortunate to be able to communicate in his language," Aguirre said in quotes relayed by Super Deporte . "He looks sharper; he's working with a personal nutritionist. I'm delighted with his attitude. "He has a lot of quality and is a Valencia CF player . We have to get the best out of him." This could be Harvey Elliott's last chance to save his career Elliott has always been a star boy at Liverpool. The Englishman is still only 23 years old and, while some players have already reached their peaks by this point, it still feels like Elliott has a way to go yet. Obviously, his main goal for the 2026-27 season will be to get back to his best with Valencia and steer them away from a relegation battle. However, long-term, he'll probably want to try and forge a career and Liverpool and make his way back into their plans. At the moment, Florian Wirtz is occupying Elliott's preferred position but, with all the rumours surrounding the German's future, it's unclear how much longer that'll last. But, if he continues impressing Aguirre and manages to prove his worth, he could easily save his career and get it back on track. Not only would this be ideal for Liverpool but, it would also prove that he still has it in him to make a difference.
