Andoni Iraola confirms Liverpool star is a doubt for Brighton clash

Andoni Iraola confirms Liverpool star is a doubt for Brighton clash Andoni Iraola Confirms Victor Munoz Doubts Ahead of Brighton Clash Liverpool maintained their winning run with a 4-3 thriller against Villarreal on Tuesday night. The win means it is seven victories in their last nine games across all competitions. That run of form is even more impressive when you look at Liverpool’s injury list with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Jermie Frimpong, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni all sidelined. To make things worse, Spanish forward Victor Munoz missed the game after picking up a knock in the victory over Brentford, where he scored a crucial equaliser. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, head coach Andoni Iraola provided an update on Munoz’s fitness ahead of Sunday’s clash with Brighton… “I Think It’s Going To Be Difficult” Speaking on Munoz, Iraola confirmed he remains a doubt for Sunday’s game, saying: “He is dealing with some pain [since Brentford] and it was too early to play against Villarreal.” “I don’t know. I think it’s going to be difficult [to be fit for Brighton], but I really don’t know.” Liverpool will be hoping Munoz returns soon with clashes against Chelsea and Arsenal next week. Iraola Confirms Barcola Boost It wasn’t all bad news though for Liverpool fans. Concerns had grown over recent days over the fitness of Bradley Barcola, who has three goals and one assist in his last two starts for the Reds. The Frenchman trained individually earlier this week, but Iraola has eased those fears. He said: “Yes, Bradley has trained today normally. He is fine. No problems. It was just a matter of dealing with the load and sometimes they have to stay inside.” “He is fine.”
