Sandro Tonali believes Tottenham ‘much more of a team’ after Coventry City win

Sandro Tonali believes Tottenham ‘much more of a team’ after Coventry City win Sandro Tonali made a big-money move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. While Roberto De Zerbi’s side had a shaky start to the campaign after spending significantly in the transfer window, the midfielder is certain they are turning the tide. The Italian has been a regular for Tottenham in midfield, even assisting against Manchester United two weeks ago. He spoke to Sky Italia about the start to the Lilywhites’ season and he made it clear that the win over Coventry City was a turning point and things are changing for the better. Tonali said – via Di Marzio : “Monday was a bit of a closing act for this first part of the season. It’s been a constant process of growth. W e shouldn’t look at our start, but rather take the positives. The performances were excellent, everyone loves the manager, who is struggling more than anyone here at Tottenham.” Reiterating the club’s growth in the last few weeks, he said:  “We know we have to give him a lot because we haven’t achieved anything yet . Since last week, we’ve been much more of a team, we can’t stop. Now we’ll be away from home facing a tough match. W e need to stay positive and play our football.” Tonali also revealed that he remains a Milan fan and that will be the case for a long while. The midfielder said: “ Milan will always be my favorite team , regardless of how much time passes. Even in twenty years’ time, I will continue to follow them whenever my commitments allow me, because this feeling will never change.” Team back on track It is clear that Tottenham are getting points on board and scoring goals, which wasn’t true early in the campaign. But even then, they were creating chances and showing promise in the final third. Now, it is coming together and the game against Chelsea could be a huge game for their confidence.
