Douglas Luiz: ‘Juventus have to improve and play better for the whole game’

Douglas Luiz: ‘Juventus have to improve and play better for the whole game’ Douglas Luiz says that he is happy after scoring his first competitive goal for Juventus in a 2-0 victory over Lecce in Serie A on Sunday evening, but says that he and his teammates must still improve and play ‘better’ for the full 90 minutes. Juventus picked up an important 2-0 win away against Lecce on Sunday evening, dusting themselves off after a 3-0 hammering by Lazio last time out in Serie A. They went in for half time two goals to the good, but found themselves under much more pressure in the second half after a tactical tweak from Euseio Di Francesco at the interval. We had a good first half but slept a bit in the second. We have to improve and play better for the whole game,” Douglas Luiz said (via TMW ). This was his first goal for the club since joining in a €50m transfer from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024, and was the first time that he has provided a goal and an assist in a league game.
