Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi confirms France ambition
Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi confirms France ambition Eli Junior Kroupi (20) has confirmed his ambition to represent the France national team. The Bournemouth forward was also eligible to play for Portugal and the Ivory Coast. Kroupi doesn’t look set to be one of those talents that slip through their fingers. Whilst the FFF were left rueing Ayyoub Bouaddi’s decision to represent Morocco, despite the Manchester City midfielder captaining the U21s, Kroupi has already clarified his intentions of playing for Les Bleus. The FC Lorient academy product returned from injury during the 3-0 win over Manchester United over the weekend, and speaking prior to that game, he spoke to DAZN , who asked him about his international future. “I don’t see myself going towards a culture that I don’t know. The objective is the France national team,” said the Bournemouth forward. Having returned from injury, he will now look to work his way into Zinédine Zidane’s plans. Last season, Kroupi set a record, scoring the most goals as a teenager in his debut season in the Premier League (13). GFFN | Luke Entwistle
