After struggling with Wolves and Ajax, Carlos Forbs has found a perfect home with Club Brugge While Nicolo Tresoldi once again stole the headlines with a hat-trick in Club Brugge’s 3-2 home win over Sint Truiden, his partner in crime Carlos Forbs was also heavily involved. The winger, who struggled in the past with Wolves and Ajax, has been in great form to start the season with Club Brugge . Forbs provided two assists, just over a week since he did the same against Inter in Milan. Together, Forbs and Tresoldi are starting to form a deadly partnership, with the 22-year-old from Portugal very much the provider. In 12 games this season Forbs already has seven assists. He is closing in on the 11 assists in 51 games he managed last season. Forbs has also grabbed three goals this season, having scored 11 last time out. This is a far cry from the 2024/2025 season when he joined Wolves on loan. The side were relegated from the Premier League, with Forbs having very little impact. The winger only played 11 games while on loan at Wolves, failing to score or provide an assist. Forbs had been on loan at Wolves from Ajax, where he had played 32 games the previous season with three goals and four assists. On his return to Ajax from Wolves he was deemed surplus to requirements and allowed to join Club Brugge for a relatively small fee. Ajax may well be regretting that decision now. Forbs was still so young and clearly had potential, something which he has been able to realise at Club Brugge. Perhaps it was the struggles at Wolves and the lack of belief in him at Ajax that has galvanised him into becoming a key player for Club Brugge since he joined. With his electric pace, Forbs has always been an asset, and at Club Brugge he is now providing in the final third with goals and assists.
