🚨 Manchester United's surprise decision on Carrick's future

🚨 Manchester United's surprise decision on Carrick's future Michael Carrick won’t be sacked… for now! Although his dismissal had been expected since Monday, Manchester United’s hierarchy have decided to give their manager a reprieve, according to several British media outlets, including the BBC, The Athletic and the Daily Mail. Carrick, the club’s former midfield icon, will have a chance to turn things around before the axe falls, despite a litany of damning circumstances: two heavy defeats in four days against Bournemouth and Como, a dismal 16th place in the Premier League and a captain, Bruno Fernandes, who has publicly questioned his tactical decisions. Manchester United will travel to Stamford Bridge next Saturday to face Chelsea in Matchweek 9 of the Premier League. A crucial fixture for Carrick.
