Barcelona eye January move for Real Madrid defensive target after Clasico defeat – report Barcelona’s heartbreaking loss at the hands of Real Madrid is likely to send the club into overdrive as far as the transfer market is concerned. In order to address the severe lack of depth in defence, Barcelona are expected to go big for a new centre-back in the near future . While all of this is a reaction to Real Madrid’s win, it isn’t necessarily good news for Los Blancos , as Barcelona could end up raiding similar players. Barcelona eyeing move for Finn Jeltsch According to SPORT , Barcelona have considering a January move to sign Stuttgart talent Finn Jeltsch. One of the rising stars in the Bundesliga. Jeltsch’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with various clubs interested in his services. Barcelona have been the latest to join the ranks, as they look to utilize the synergy of Hansi Flick to try and coax the German into an early move to Spain. Real Madrid remain on high alert Real Madrid must be wary of the threat Barcelona possess in the transfer market, especially having already lost out on Rodri in the summer. Given Flick’s influence in German football, Barcelona making a move for Jeltsch should ring alarm bells, even though Real Madrid have been monitoring the player since the beginning of the season. Signing the German, though, will be a tough ask for both the clubs, with Stuttgart likely to ask for €60 million while the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in his services. It also remains to be seen whether or not Jeltsch himself is ready to move on, having just started his Bundesliga career.
