Update on Manchester United And Their Pursuit Of This Newcastle United Ace: What Will He Bring To Old Trafford? In a recent report , journalist Pete O’Rourke offered an update on Manchester United and their pursuit of Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall. It is believed that the Red Devils would have to pay north of £70m to land the English talent next year. Hall’s Impressive Form In English Football Hall has made a decent start to this campaign as he has put in a run of impressive displays for the Magpies at left-back. The 22-year-old scored one goal and grabbed a couple of assists in ten matches for Newcastle this season in all competitions. The English talent is currently among the most talented full-backs in the Premier League . Hence, the Red Devils would do well to lure him to the Theatre of Dreams next year. His current contract at St. James’ Park will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Man United to land him on a cut-price deal this winter or at the end of this campaign. Hall is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer as well from the left flank. The English talent can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his side. Hall is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player or as a box-to-box midfielder if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man United if they manage to get a deal done for him in 2027. We can expect Hall to bring more quality and depth to the Mancunian club’s defence. He is capable of earning a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming years. At 22, Hall has a promising future ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Man United to pursue in this January transfer window or next summer. He will also help the Red Devils compete across all fronts over the next few seasons.
