Sammy Henia-Kamau has scored four goals in his last six Jersey Bulls appearances [BBC] Jersey Bulls have gone top of Isthmian League South Central after a 3-1 win over AFC Portchester at Springfield. The victory saw the islanders go a point clear of previous leaders Bognor Regis Town after they drew 2-2 at Cobham. The result meant Elliot Powell's side have gone 33 games unbeaten in Isthmian League action - a run going back to 30 December. They are unbeaten in 32 regular season matches and lost a penalty shootout in last season’s playoffs following a goalless draw. For the fifth game in a row Bulls scored inside the first 20 minutes when Sammy Henia-Kamua got on the end of Jack Lumsden’s clearance and slotted home from a tight angle. Jason Prior had a good effort saved by Bulls goalkeeper Euan van der Vleit midway through the first half as the visitors began to have the better of the game. Portchester had a penalty claim waved away eight minutes before the break when Ryan Pennery went down under a James Queree challenge. It proved to be a key turning point as a minute later Bulls were 2-0 up as top scorer Lorne Bickley lashed in an effort into the top corner from just outside the box. But Portchester got back into it seconds before half time when Prior converted a penalty after Jonny Le Quesne had fouled Brandon Haunstrup. Bickley restored Bulls’ two-goal advantage 12 minutes into the second half with a calm right-footed finish from 15 yards. Haunstrup had a free kick tipped over the bar by van der Vliet with 15 minutes to go while Tommy Scott missed a good chance soon after as Bulls won for the 10th time in 14 league games this season.
