Juventus prioritising January move for USA star Folarin Balogun

Juventus prioritising January move for USA star Folarin Balogun Juventus are prioritising a January move for Monaco striker Folarin Balogun as they look to address their attacking problems during the winter transfer window, according to Tuttosport . The Bianconeri have started exploring potential deals, especially for another centre-forward. Juventus also want to strengthen at left-back, but finding a reliable goalscorer is the priority, and Balogun has become their leading target. His technical profile and the financial feasibility of a deal make him an attractive option for the Serie A giants. His agent, Jorge Mendes, also has a strong relationship with Juventus, which will help facilitate negotiations. The United States international’s situation at Monaco has deteriorated in the last few months. He has yet to score in Ligue 1 this season as he has been frozen out of the first-team picture. In their most recent Ligue 1 fixture, manager Filipe Luis brought him on with one minute left. He is also ineligible for their Conference League campaign after being left out of their UEFA squad list. The writing is on the wall. In truth, it has been since his proposed summer move to Everton collapsed at the final stage after his medical. He reportedly got uncomfortable. Juventus are also considering alternatives. Atletico Madrid’s Alexander Sorloth is one of the names manager Luciano Spalletti admires. Frosinone’s Antonio Raimondo is also a target, although a January deal could be difficult. Spalletti wants a forward with different characteristics from his current options, but whether Balogun is the answer remains a major question. Juventus’ lack of ambition is becoming embarrassing . They are a shadow of the club they once were, chasing another struggling striker instead of a genuine difference-maker. Their current forwards, Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade, underperformed last season, yet Juventus signed them. Unsurprisingly, they are struggling again, and Balogun is supposedly the answer? Even at his best, when he manages to put his injury niggles behind him, it is hard to buy that he is.
