The report also Sky Germany, which claims Barcelona had sent scouts to watch Jeltsch in action during a Champions League game, and the reports were quite positive. Flick rates the player highly due to his ability to play the ball out from the back, coupled with his immense potential. Barcelona, therefore, are sounding out the possibility of signing the German centre-back in the near future. Several roadblocks for Barcelona What’s in store for Jeltsch’s future? (Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images) However, acquiring the services of Finn Jeltsch won’t be an easy task for Barcelona for multiple reasons. For one, Stuttgart are well aware of the player’s potential and are likely to ask for in excess of €50 million; this makes him quite an expensive target for the Catalans, given the club’s current economic situation. Another major headache for Barcelona is the sheer competition they are expected to face in the race to sign Jeltsch. Real Madrid have been monitoring Jeltsch’s progress for a while and could put up a strong fight, as they are also in need of defensive reinforcements. In addition to Real Madrid, other European giants are also linked with a move for the Stuttgart youngster. Barcelona will have to navigate all these problems if they are to get their hands on Jeltsch in the near future.
