Liam Rosenior says Paris FC’s objective is to be ‘one of the biggest clubs in Europe’

Liam Rosenior says Paris FC’s objective is to be ‘one of the biggest clubs in Europe’ Liam Rosenior has said that Paris FC’s objective is to “become one of the best teams in Europe”. The Englishman joined the club over the summer and has Les Parisiens competing at the top of Ligue 1. The Paris FC project is an ambitious one. The club were taken over by the Arnault family two seasons ago when they were still in Ligue 2. Even back then, the prospect of significant investment in the club had them targeting European football in the medium term. After a year of consolidation in the French top-flight, Paris FC are now looking further up the table. After eight games, Rosenior’s side sit sixth in Ligue 1, just three points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Rosenior told Ligue 1 Magazine that he “initially wanted to take some time” following his departure from Chelsea in the Spring. However, he described joining the project at the Stade Jean Bouin as “an incredible opportunity” and one that he did not wish to pass up. With Les Parisiens, the Englishman has grand plans. “The long-term target is to be one of the biggest clubs in the country,” he said. “We want to be a major play in this league and in Europe. You can’t throw money at it; you have to build over time […] we want to be one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I know that is one of the aims of the ownership.” GFFN | Luke Entwistle
