Chelsea Are Preparing To Make Another Move For This Premier League Star: Should Alonso Go For Him? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Chelsea are preparing to make another move for Bournemouth star Alex Scott. It has been mentioned that the Blues would have to compete with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign the English midfield ace next year. Scott’s Decent Form In The Premier League The 23-year-old has made a good start to this Premier League campaign as he has put in some impressive displays for the Cherries in the middle of the park. Scott has scored one goal and grabbed two assists in six matches for Bournemouth this season across all fronts. The English sensation is currently one of the most talented central midfielders in the Premier League . Hence, it is no wonder that the Blues are in the running to acquire his services. His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Chelsea to sign him on the cheap next year. Scott loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team at the centre of the park. He usually clears his lines when needed and is an accurate passer as well from midfield. The English talent can even chip in by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team. Scott mainly functions as a box-to-box midfielder but can also function as an attacking midfielder or a right-sided wide player if required. He has already proven himself in the Premier League and won’t take any time to adjust to life at Chelsea if they can devise a way to bring him on board next year. We can expect Scott to bring more quality and depth to Xabi Alonso’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge. At 23, Scott has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Blues to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. He will also help Chelsea compete for a top-four spot in the Premier League over the next few years. Hence, Alonso would be wise to go for Scott in 2027.
