Ramsey proud of performance in Stockport win

The U's edged past the Hatters at the Kassam Stadium thanks to Mark Harris' first-half strike, slotting the ball home from Siriki Dembele's low cross after 35 minutes. Oxford have now won six of their 11 matches this season, losing only once in the league, and are now up to third in the League One table. "This performance is definitely the one that has made me the most proud," Ramsey told BBC Radio Oxford. "I can't fault the boys for our out of possession work and we showed a lot more courage with the ball to show that we can play through teams. "Everybody played their part and we're going to need them all throughout the whole season." Since their only league defeat - away at Huddersfield - Oxford have won five and drawn three, and are still undefeated at home in all competitions. Oxford have played less games than the teams around them because of postponements in the previous international break, a situation set to be repeated later this month because of call-ups for Oxford players. "It's taken a while to make up some ground because of the games we have had postponed," Ramsey added. "It was nice to play one of those games where we had the chance to jump up a few places and it was important to take full advantage of that. "The boys executed the game plan superbly and the fans also helped us to get over the line in the end. "I hope the fans can be proud too, I want them to enjoy the football that they come here to see, I want this to be an environment that we can all really enjoy."
