Hansi Flick pleased with 19-year-old Barcelona forward’s attitude despite limited game time

Hansi Flick pleased with 19-year-old Barcelona forward’s attitude despite limited game time Barcelona are pleased with Hamza Abdelkarim’s attitude and willingness to contribute wherever he is needed, with the Egyptian forward earning approval for his approach to first-team training and his readiness to help Barça Atlètic, according to SPORT . The young striker has yet to feature in either of Barcelona’s recent defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, watching both matches from the bench.  Nevertheless, his response to limited opportunities has strengthened his standing within the club. Hamza earns Barcelona approval through his attitude Abdelkarim has shown a willingness to accept his current situation without allowing his ambitions to affect his behaviour.  Despite enjoying considerable recognition in Egypt following his participation in the World Cup, he has remained grounded while adapting to life around Barcelona’s senior squad. His attitude has also been well received in the dressing room. Although naturally quiet and somewhat shy, he has settled into the group, taking part in its lighter moments while maintaining a professional approach to his work. Hamza balances first-team training with Barça Atlètic duties Abdelkarim was among the players involved when Barcelona returned to training on Wednesday following their defeats to PSG and Real Madrid.  His continued involvement with Hansi Flick’s squad provides valuable experience, even though regular competitive minutes have yet to arrive. His most recent appearance came for Barça Atlètic against Utebo on October 17, in what was his only outing for the reserve team so far.  The Egyptian scored in that match, providing an early indication of his ability to contribute when given the opportunity. Flick has other attacking options ahead of Abdelkarim Hamza’s playing time is extremely limited under Hansi Flick. (Photo by David Ramos/Getty Images) Despite the positive reports about the youngster, a breakthrough into Barcelona’s regular matchday plans is not guaranteed.  Flick currently has several established attacking options competing for places, making it difficult for an emerging striker to secure meaningful minutes. Barcelona have used Raphinha in a more advanced role, while Gabriel Jesus provides another centre-forward option.  Flick has also experimented with Dani Olmo as a false nine, including against Betis and Galatasaray, giving him further tactical flexibility in attack. Abdelkarim’s immediate priority is therefore to keep developing, make the most of his training opportunities and continue contributing for Barça Atlètic whenever required.
