NAC Breda defender earns club healthy sum as move to Minnesota United becomes permanent
NAC Breda defender earns club healthy sum as move to Minnesota United becomes permanent As reported by VI , NAC Breda defender Cherrion Valerius has made his loan move to MLS side Minnesota United permanent. Valerius had been with Minnesota United since leaving NAC Breda in the summer. Valerius is a highly rated defender, despite NAC Breda suffering relegation from the Eredivisie last season. As part of the loan deal with Minnesota United, the purchase option of $1.5m would be activated if he made enough appearances for the MLS side. When Valerius started for the club in their 3-1 defeat at home to Kansas City on Wednesday, the purchase option was lifted. Valerius leaves NAC Breda having played 50 games for the club since making his debut as a teenager during the 2023/2024 season. Last year he played 29 games for the side in the Eredivisie, with two assists. He had played four games in the second tier this current campaign before making the move to Minnesota United. Since joining the MLS side, Valerius has only played five games, with one assist. However, he now has a contract with the side until 2030 and they will be hoping he can develop into the player that many believe he could be. GBeNeFN | Ben Jackson
