Barcelona await final FIFA green light for new signing’s official youth team debut According to Mundo Deportivo , Barcelona are hopeful that promising Portuguese starlet Dany Freire will receive the final registration approval needed to make his competitive debut for the club within the next two weeks. The 16-year-old, who joined the Juvenil B side in September, has been training with his teammates and is now awaiting the completion of administrative procedures handled by FIFA. Barcelona await FIFA approval for Dany Freire’s registration Barcelona needed little time to decide that Freire was worth signing. After impressing on trial, the starlet joined the Juvenil B squad for pre-season, taking part in several friendly matches before the club confirmed his permanent arrival in September , soon after he turned 16. Despite making a positive impression during his initial spell with the team, Freire has yet to feature in an official match for the Catalan club. The delay is down to registration formalities rather than a sporting decision, with the process now reportedly approaching its final stage. The paperwork remains with FIFA, but the parties involved are optimistic that the necessary approval will arrive soon. Barcelona are hopeful that the situation can be resolved within the next fortnight, allowing the attacking midfield talent to begin playing competitive football for his new club. Freire has already enjoyed a significant milestone since joining Barcelona, earning his first call-up to Portugal’s U17 national team. His international recognition underlines the promise he has shown, even as he waits for the green light to begin his competitive career in Barcelona colours.
