The Black Cats managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win over Brentford in the EFL Cup recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game. Regis Le Bris will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to revert to his strongest XI for this contest. Hence, Brian Brobbey will once again lead the line for the Wearside club up top. 4-2-3-1 Sunderland Predicted Lineup To Face Coventry City Defence Robin Roefs will feature in goal for the Black Cats after keeping a clean sheet in his last appearance. Nordi Mukiele will be in a race against time to be fit for this game, but could get the nod to play alongside Kevin Danso at the heart of the Sunderland backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game. Trai Hume will try to give a good account of himself as the right-back, while Reinildo Mandava looks to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack. Luke O’Nien will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
