Racing Santander manager wary of Real Madrid threat: ‘They don’t need to dominate to beat you’

Racing Santander manager wary of Real Madrid threat: ‘They don’t need to dominate to beat you’ Real Madrid travel to face Racing Santander on Sunday, looking to keep up their winning momentum after an impressive performance against Barcelona. Jose Mourinho’s side have found greater consistency in recent weeks. The manager’s tactical adjustments have played a key role in transforming the team’s fortunes. Los Blancos look more solid defensively, more creative in midfield and are able to keep much more of the ball and control the game. Speaking ahead of the game, Racing Santander manager Jose Alberto Lopez offered a fascinating assessment of Los Blancos . Racing manager praises Mourinho’s Real Madrid The Spanish coach praised Mourinho’s work and explained why Madrid are so difficult to face. “Real Madrid are one of the best clubs in the world. They have extraordinary players and are very well managed,” he said, as quoted by AS . Real Madrid have stacked five wins in a row. They are in their best moment of the season, as they demonstrated in the Clasico .” Lopez placed special emphasis on Los Blancos ‘ competitiveness and the attacking threat throughout the squad. “Mourinho’s teams are very competitive, and their quality is beyond doubt. It is not just Mbappe. Any player can be brilliant, and it will be incredible to face them,” he explained. “Every player can overwhelm you with their individual quality. They are stars with enormous talent, and any individual action can make the difference. They tear you apart in transition.” The Racing manager believes Madrid can win matches without necessarily dominating every minute of the game. “Real Madrid don’t need to dominate the game to beat you. They find the goals first, and then the football,” Jose Alberto explained. Lopez highlights Real Madrid’s collective effort If there is one striking thing about Real Madrid in recent weeks, it is that the team look much more like a collective unit than before. Real Madrid are slowly beginning to resemble a close-knit team. The same trend also marked the first few months of Mourinho’s second stint in the Spanish capital, but that has certainly changed now . The Portuguese manager has got his team to play for one another in recent weeks, and this was on display during their impressive performance at the Spotify Camp Nou. It remains to be seen how Real Madrid fare against Racing Santander and whether they can extend their winning streak with another strong display.
