Napoli serious about Monza’s Gustavo Varela, Mo Ali Zoma also a target

Napoli serious about Monza’s Gustavo Varela, Mo Ali Zoma also a target Serie A side Napoli have endured an inconsistent start to the campaign, with criticism having plagued Max Allegri. But with the January transfer window fast approaching, it is becoming clear the Partenopei want attacking signings. This is largely because Lorenzo Lucca hasn’t exactly impressed since his return in the summer. Tuttomercatoweb report that their aim in January is to sign an attacker and a midfielder, with Monza’s Gustavo Varela emerging as an important target. He is currently the first-choice but everything will depend on how much Monza want for Varela and if they want to let him leave in the middle of the season. As a result, another option is being considered and that is Nurnberg and Italy’s Mo Ali Zoma. He could come in as a replacement for Noa Lang, whose future is also uncertain, as Ajax and PSV have recently made contact to land him. Napoli would ideally want his permanent exit and that can also aid in a possible move for Torino star Alessio Cacciamani, who has impressed this season and was on Roma’s shortlist in the summer.
