Confirmed: Barcelona squad list to face Alaves – two new faces called up FC Barcelona will be intent on getting back to winning ways as they get set to take on Deportivo Alaves later tonight in La Liga at the Spotify Camp Nou. Ahead of the contest against Quique Sanchez Flores’ men, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players who will be at his disposal for selection. The major headline is that the Barcelona manager has called up two new faces to the squad, with teenage duo Guillem Victor and Ebrima Tunkara making the cut. Victor arrives to provide cover in the right-back position following the injury to Xavi Espart, who has joined Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, and Andreas Christensen on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Tunkara has been drafted to add depth in the attacking midfield position due to the injury-enforced absence of Dani Olmo. Also, Alex Campos, who had been included in the squad for the last two matches against PSG and Real Madrid, continues to feature amidst the continued absences in defence. Hamza Abdelkarim also continues to be involved in the first-team dynamics and will be hoping to get some action on the field. There could be an official debut on the cards for academy gem Brian Farinas, as he could slot in at right-back in the starting XI against Alaves. Frenkie de Jong, who made his first appearance of the season against Real Madrid last weekend, could be in line to start as well.
