Mourinho extremely happy with under-fire Real Madrid star after Clasico performance

Mourinho extremely happy with under-fire Real Madrid star after Clasico performance Eduardo Camavinga has been a polarising figure in the Real Madrid for the past couple of years. The Frenchman has shown glimpses of excellent but has never been consistent enough to really thrive under any particular manager. However, under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, Camavinga, who was a victim of potential assault during the Clasico , appears to be thriving in the chaos of the Real Madrid pressure and team balance. Mourinho happy with Camavinga As reported by AS , Mourinho is quite impressed with the performances of Camavinga, including his decisive cameo in the Clasico . Camavinga’s ability to provide energy on to the field, as evident in the game against Barcelona, is the reason why Jose Mourinho is happy with the Frenchman. The Real Madrid coach has put great faith in the Frenchman since the two started working together in the summer. He is now delighted with the player’s daily application and views his explosive, line-breaking ability as unique within the squad. Road ahead for Camavinga Important few weeks ahead for Camavinga. (Photo by David Ramos/Getty Images) That said, both player and manager are aware that consistency is still missing in Camavinga’s performances. That is perhaps why Camavinga has largely been used as a game-changer this season, making just three starts and clocking only 365 minutes. The lack of regular game-time is nothing new, with 2,199 intermittent minutes last term ultimately costing him a place in France’s World Cup squad. However, what is important is that Camavinga has now identified the issue and knows that he needs to make fewer mistakes. He is now in better physical shape and with backing from Mourinho, the player looks to be growing in confidence. For now, Camavinga will play the role of an impact substitute. But if he can continue his form, he could end up becoming a key asset in the Real Madrid midfield, especially with Mourinho utiltising Federico Valverde in a right-back role.
