PLAYER RATINGS | Paris FC 3-1 Monaco: Pierre Ferracci era ends with statement win over Filipe Luís’ side Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Round 9, 01/11/26 Paris FC dominated a lethargic and uninspired AS Monaco thanks to a very inspired Lassine Sinayoko (3-1) in what was the final game of the Pierre Ferracci presidency at the Parisian club. The Match Paris FC headed into this game at the Stade Jean Bouin having not trailed at home at any point so far this season. Monaco didn’t look like threatening that record in the first half. All the chances came the way of Liam Rosenior’s side. Samir Chergui’s flicked header from a corner almost found Moses Simon at the back post; Pierre Lees-Melou struck the post with an effort from the edge of the box; the woodwork was struck again, this time by Sadibou Sané, who clicked the top of the bar as he looked to head the ball to safety. Lassine Sinayoko also forced a strong save from Lukas Hradecky. The Malian, going into the game, had been in 10 of Les Parisiens ‘ first 13 goals of the season and he was there to provide the finishing touch. It was Lamine Camara with the mistake playing out. A high ball recovery came to Ilan Kebbal, who had seemingly passed up his chance, slipping and being forced to retrieve the ball, but he found Maxime Lopez, bursting into the box, with a pass on the swivel. He found Sinayoko, once again unmarked, to finish. Sinayoko doubled up soon after, this time running onto a Simon ball in behind. An emphatic finish took his goal contributions this season to 12. Two half-time changes (Folarin Balogun for Paris Brunner and Christian Mawissa for Edan Diop) brought about the desired effect. Paris FC were less threatening and Monaco were able to play through the lines with greater ease. Balogun halved the deficit from close range with a one-touch finish from a Vanderson cross, but with their changes, Monaco had thrown in the kitchen sink and were naturally vulnerable. Before exiting the scene with an apparent injury, Sinayoko re-established a cushion for Les Parisiens, running Eric Dier ragged, dragging him away before spinning and putting the ball back for Pagis to finish first time. The final whistle marked the end of the Ferracci reign, with the 90 minutes against the toiling Principality club emphatic proof that this club is in a better position than when he inherited it 20 years ago. Monaco player ratings Lukas Hradecky – 5 Nazinho – 4 Eric Dier – 3 He wasn’t expected to start, having only just returned from injury. Maybe this start came too soon for the Englishman, who lost his duel with Sinayoko. He was at the scene of the crime for all three goals, culpable to varying degrees. Sadibou Sané – 3 Vanderson – 4 Aleksandr Golovin – 5 Lamine Camara – 3 Not his finest day. Paris FC’s first goal is on him, and whilst he pulled off a couple of his characteristic cross-field balls, he failed to pull off the simpler passes that would have done more damage to the host’s defence. Denis Zakaria – 3 Edan Diop – 3 Replaced by Christian Mawissa ( 4 ) at half-time. Matthis Abline – 4 Paris Brunner – 4 Replaced by Folarin Balogun ( 6 ) at half-time. The German lost out in his individual duel against Chergui. Balogun didn’t fare much better against an organised defence but did have the striker’s instinct to get on the end of Vanderson’s pass and make a simple finish. Paris FC selected player ratings Pablo Pagis – 8 The playmaker is completely electric, playing the game at a completely different pace to everyone else. He had his work cut out for him, coming up against Lamine Camara and Denis Zakaria, but he came out on top in those individual battles. Lassine Sinayoko – 9 The Malian has been involved (either scoring or assisting) in 13 out of Paris FC’s 16 goals this season. Sinayoko is as important as his stats would suggest to this high-flying side. His link-up with his teammates allowed the whole attacking line-up to shine, although among them, Sinayoko was unpeered, as he so often is. Moses Simon – 7 Maxime Lopez – 7 GFFN | Luke Entwistle
