Panathinaikos sporting director predicts fiery atmosphere against Real Madrid in Athens: ‘It’s going to be impressive’ Real Madrid are currently in a great run of form – the best they have been in all season – and have the momentum firmly on their side. The win over Barcelona, who were hyped as the overwhelming favourites in El  Clasico , appears to have taken the team’s confidence to a whole new level and the impact was visible in their recent outing. Taking to the field against Racing Santander at the weekend,  Los Blancos  not only dominated the game but delivered three crushing blows before half-time, thereby virtually sealing the result before the halfway stage. Now, they are set to return to action in the UEFA Champions League, where they travel to Greece to take on AEK Athens away from home. Greek side’s administrator speaks on the clash Greek side Panathinaikos’ sporting advisor Miguel Angel Corona, who also happens to be a former Real Madrid youth player, spoke to the media via  Diario AS  in a recent interview where he previewed the game between Real Madrid and AEK Athens. He then spoke highly of Real Madrid’s defence and attack, which have both performed at a great level in recent times. “Their centre-backs are very strong, and their two strikers, if they play together, are difficult to defend against because of their physical presence.” “However, Real Madrid’s attacking pace could make the difference,”  he added. In these nights, Greek football can show the rest of Europe that it has teams, fans and passion. They turn over. There will be a very hot atmosphere.” Finally, Corona hoped to be at the venue for the game between Real Madrid and AEK, saying, “I hope I can see them. I wish you the best, not only in this game, but that you reach the final and win it.”
