Arsenal set sights on signing Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi

Arsenal set sights on signing Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi Arsenal have set their sights on signing Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi, according to The Mirror . The Gunners made just one addition in attack last summer, signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34 million. Tzolis has made an impressive start to life in north Lonon, but they need further attacking reinforcements. The English champions have Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres as their main centre-forward options this season. However, Havertz is not a natural striker and Gyokeres has scored just one goal in 11 appearances across all competitions this term. The Sweden international has been linked with a potential exit in the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal have made signing an elite centre-forward their main priority this winter and have set their sights on Bournemouth star Kroupi. The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the best young attackers in the Premier League in recent years. He scored 13 goals in 33 appearances last season to help Bournemouth finish sixth in the English league. Kroupi’s progress was hampered by a foot injury he sustained during pre-season. The issue required surgery and he remained sidelined for the first two months of the 2026-27 campaign. The Frenchman recently returned to the squad and made an immediate impact. After being introduced off the bench, he set up Amine Adli for Bournemouth’s second goal against Leeds United on Saturday. Kroupi would be an excellent acquisition for Arsenal, but a transfer in January would be difficult to pull off. Bournemouth are in a strong negotiating position, with the young forward contracted until 2030. To complicate matters further, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Kroupi’s situation and could make a formal bid in January. Arsenal could expect easier transfer negotiations if they wait until the summer, but the player’s valuation could increase further.
