FK Bodø/Glimt squad battling illness ahead of Lille tie FK Bodø/Glimt’s squad are battling illness as they prepare to host Lille OSC in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. Several players are consequently doubts to face the Ligue 1 side later today. The illness has been circulating around the squad for over a week already. “Last week, it was a bit brutal,” admitted their defender Haitam Aleesami. The affected players are suffering from flu-like symptoms. The club’s captain, Patrick Berg, has been ill, although he participated in first-team training on the eve of the game against LOSC. FK Bodø/Glimt’s manager, Kjetil Knutsen, spoke pre-match and said that the squad were doing “better” and that the illness would not be used as an excuse against Les Dogues. The Norwegian club so far have one win and just three points from their opening three games in the UCL.
