Bruno Fernandes, a former Novara, Sampdoria and Udinese midfielder, didn’t miss the second chance. He once again kicked the ball to Vasquez’s right, but this time closer to the top corner, while the Roma keeper dived the opposite way. Vasquez is playing his first competitive match for Roma, as Milan Svilar has been out for weeks and second-choice keeper Pierluigi Gollini had back problems on the morning of the game.
