PSG were able to rest many of their first team players throughout the league season to keep them fresh for the Champions League. It created some strange situations – Bradley Barcola being the team’s top league scorer with just 11 goals, for example. An even more extreme version was Warren Zaire Emery. He was first choice all season, and racked up more minutes for the Parisians than anyone else in all competitions. Yet when it came to the final, he was on the bench. The midfielder has spoken to Telefoot about how that felt. Midfielder admits to frustrations over final decision “ The frustration of not starting as a starter in the final? Yes, you know, those are the coach’s choices, it’s his formula. We can’t hold it against him. He won, that’s how it is,” the versatile superstar said. “It’s true that in the moment, I was a bit frustrated, but when you see the team win and everything goes well, you can only be happy. I enjoyed coming onto the pitch and playing for this team.” Once again, the youngster is showing the superb maturity and team-spiritedness that makes him such a useful player. In other news… Ousmane Dembele had to leave his boyhood club to join PSG, although he doesn’t regret it at all. Demebele needs back-ups up top, and it seems like PSG could target Barcelona once again to find one. DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL PSG TALK APP FOR ALL THE LATEST UPDATES – STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE!
