Manchester United Are Keeping Tabs On This Borussia Dortmund Midfielder: Should Carrick Go For Him? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham next year. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are monitoring the progress of the English talent ahead of a potential move for him. Bellingham’s Impressive Form In German Football Bellingham has made a decent start to this Bundesliga campaign as he has put in a few impressive displays for Borussia Dortmund at the centre of the park. The 21-year-old has picked up three assists in 13 appearances for the German outfit last season in all competitions. The English talent is currently among the most talented central midfielders in the Bundesliga . Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to acquire his services next year. His current contract at the Signal Iduna Park will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Man United to land him this January or at the end of this campaign. (Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images) Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Go For Bellingham? Bellingham usually works hard for his team defensively in the middle of the park. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to score. The English sensation is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team from midfield. Bellingham is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks on whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to land him next year. We can expect Bellingham to add more quality and depth to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming years. At 21, the future looks quite promising for Bellingham as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, Carrick would be wise to go for him in 2027.
