Manchester United make contact with Didier Deschamps

Manchester United make contact with Didier Deschamps Manchester United have made contact with former France manager Didier Deschamps, as per a report from Foot Mercato . Deschamps has not been in work since leaving Les Bleus following their FIFA World Cup campaign. Deschamps is in search of a new challenge following his successful tenure as France manager. His name has recently been linked with the Juventus job, whilst several national teams have also shown an interest. In the summer, Real Madrid shorlisted the former AS Monaco and Olympique de Marseille manager before opting to appoint José Mourinho. Deschamps in no rush to make return Manchester United have now made contact with Deschamps, Foot Mercato understands. The Red Devils are currently in the relegation zone in the Premier League and, despite a comeback win over AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week, Michael Carrick’s job is under serious threat heading towards the international break. Whilst Deschamps is looking to get back into management, he is in no rush and is not necessarily enticed by the idea of taking over the struggling Premier League side. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
