When was the last time Lazio led the Serie A table? Lazio have surprisingly jumped to the top of the Serie A table after the first ten rounds, but when was the last time they achieved such a feat? Gennaro Gattuso’s Lazio have shocked online casino users this season, as the Biancocelesti lead Serie A with 28 points. They’ve won nine matches and drawn once, earning a three-point lead over defending champions Inter. Over the weekend, Lazio beat Cagliari 2-1, while Inter lost the derby della Madonnina 3-1 to city rivals Milan. Not starting will always irritate a player, but the five substitutions made the difference today, and that makes me proud.” As Tancredi Palmieri reported on X, this is the first time in 16 years Lazio sit alone at the top of the table. “We are all up there; we still need 12 points to achieve the target of 40 that we set at the start of the season. Every team in the league is balanced and well-structured, so we’ve got to keep taking it one game at a time and see where we end up,” Gattuso added. We’ve got to push hard, rest, then push hard again.” Edy Reja was the last Lazio coach to top the standings. Ironically, that also happened after Round 10 in the 2010-11 campaign. This marks Lazio ‘s third-longest wait between spells at the top of the table. The club had previously endured two even longer droughts: 25 years from 1974 to 1999 and 36 years from 1936 to 1972. Gattuso’s feat is even more surprising because the team started the season with low expectations. The Biancocelesti were knocked out of the Coppa Italia first round in August, losing 2-0 at home to Serie B side Mantova. ROME, ITALY – NOVEMBER 01: Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Andrea Pinamonti of S.S. Lazio’s next Serie A match is away against struggling Napoli. The Partenopei sit eighth in the standings with four wins, two draws and four defeats in the opening ten matches and are 14 points behind Gattuso’s men. The upcoming match at the Stadio Maradona will also reunite Gattuso with his former Milan coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who is in charge of the Partenopei.
