They are lagging behind after just one win and two defeats in the tournament, Mike Maignan suspended after his red card in the heavy 3-0 loss at Bournemouth. With Pietro Terracciano also injured, it means third-choice goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani has to step in. Strahinja Pavlovic is rested, with Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia, Samuel Chukwueze, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alexis Saelemaekers injured. There is squad rotation, with Sankhoun Diawara moving to central defence, while Rabiot is in support of striker Goncalo Ramos. Midfielder Adam Nagy is no stranger to Italian football, as he is currently on loan from Spezia. Kristoffer Zachariassen is their top scorer in the Europa League with three goals in as many games.
