Mwaro return excites Plymouth boss Cleverley
Joe Mwaro has come up through Plymouth Argyle's youth ranks [Shutterstock] Plymouth Argyle manager Tom Cleverley says he is excited about young right-back Joe Mwaro's return to fitness. The 17-year-old earned a man of the match award on his debut in the Carabao Cup second round loss to Premier League Coventry City in August. But the highly-rated academy defender has not played since after suffering a knee injury. He will return to action with Argyle's youth team this weekend and could be in contention for the Jersey Mike's Trophy game with Swindon Town on Tuesday. "He's good at all those fundamentals, he's a great professional, he will maximise his potential because of his attitude," Cleverley said. "I have to manage expectation because he had a man of the match against the Premier League side, you can all of a sudden expect him to play 30 games this season. "I have to manage some expectation there, he's still a youth team player, he's incredibly young, but we're excited about Joe for now and for the future." All the latest Plymouth Argyle news
