Furthermore, Tottenham and Manchester City are also being considered as potential destinations, but any movement from either club would depend on departures during the winter window. Italy is another possible route, where Mendes has held discussions with Roma and Juventus to establish their interest and understand the financial conditions required.  However, Balde’s salary is a significant obstacle for both clubs. The outlet also mentions that Ligue 1 side Monaco are keeping an option open in France, while Benfica have lost prominence among the potential destinations despite previously showing considerable interest. Such an arrangement could allow Balde to secure regular football elsewhere while giving Barcelona an opportunity to generate future transfer income.  The club would also benefit from immediate salary savings, even if a permanent transfer were postponed until the summer.
