To kick off Sunday's football, Ligue 1 serves up an enticing clash between two teams targeting the top European spots. Just two points behind a Lille side unbeaten in four matches, Rennes are hoping to bounce back from last week's heavy defeat to Nice (2-5). Lille, meanwhile, hope to stay on PSG's heels and keep the gap to Paris FC and Lyon small. Lyon: life without Fonseca Left without their coach after his surprise midweek departure for Sporting Portugal, Lyon need to deliver away at Brest before the international break. To do so, Lyon can count on Paulo Fonseca's assistant, Jorge Maciel, who has stayed on to oversee the transition until Carlos Vincens takes charge. Lyon can take heart from their draw against Real Sociedad. But they will need to be wary of a Brest side reinvigorated by their thrilling derby win over Lorient. Will Lens crumble again against Marseille? It's time for RC Lens to respond. Humiliated at home by Como in the Champions League (1-9), the Blood and Gold desperately need to pick themselves up this Sunday evening to avoid slipping into crisis. Their fans have already announced that the team can expect a particularly frosty reception for the match. To make matters worse, Lens face a Marseille side fresh from a statement Europa League win over Bayer Leverkusen (0-1), having also scored 11 goals in their last three Ligue 1 matches. This clash already feels like a turning point in Lens' season. Which matches are you looking forward to most? This article was translated into English by Artificial Intelligence.
