But a part of the reason why the player himself prefers a move to the Santiago Bernabeu is the offer pitched by Real Madrid. The club have given stage to a host of young academy stars in recent years and it appears JJ Gabriel will be more than willing to fight for his place in the team the hard way. The fact that Mourinho himself has chosen to get involved should act as further reassurance for the young Englishman, as he looks to take the next step in his career. The idea will be for him to walk right away into the Castilla squad, with many within the club believing that a first-team debut will not be far away after that .
