Manchester City Release Special Edition Shirt in Collaboration With Blossoms

Manchester City Release Special Edition Shirt in Collaboration With Blossoms The link between local music and Manchester City fans has always been present, most obviously through Britpop legends Oasis, and now a new kit release has brought a different Greater Manchester artist to the doorstep. Stockport indie outfit Blossoms, who are also lifelong supporters of the club, have teamed up with the Blues to release a limited run of charity shirts celebrating four decades of local outreach across the region. With City in the Community celebrating its 40th anniversary during the ongoing 2026/27 season, main club sponsor Etihad Airways has stepped aside from their front-of-shirt position to make way for the band's logo on the hugely popular 2024/25 away kit. As announced on the club’s official website  this week, the special charity drop puts a new spin on a modern favourite. While Blossoms take over the main shirt sponsor space across the chest, the Etihad Airways logo shifts onto the sleeve, sitting alongside a dedicated CITC logo printed inside the neck to mark the anniversary. Blossoms celebrated their fifth Official UK Number One album with 'Songs From The Wedding Cake' last month and are about to head out on a major arena tour across the country. Anyone hoping to pick up a shirt will have to act fast, with initial sizes dropping exclusively at the new flagship CityStore before further batches go on sale around their upcoming homecoming shows at Manchester's Co-op Live in November and December. Four decades of supporting Greater Manchester Founded back in 1986, City in the Community has spent 40 years delivering health, education, and social inclusion initiatives to youth across Greater Manchester, and all profits from the special shirt drop will go straight to the charity to help sustain its daily programmes and expand its reach throughout the local area. To make an even bigger impact across the campaign, Manchester City will match every fan donation made to the foundation on a pound-for-pound basis until the end of May, up to a total of £200,000. As Enzo Maresca's side keep pushing for results on the pitch, this joint effort between local musicians, sponsors, and Manchester City gives fans another brilliant reason to get behind the community off it. On the pitch, Enzo Maresca and his players will be wanting to maintain the winning performance they showed in the UEFA Champions League and a 2-3 victory at RB Leipzig , and taking those levels into their next Premier League clash away to Nottingham Forest .
