Real Madrid midfielder highlights key to team’s success after Valencia victory

Real Madrid midfielder highlights key to team’s success after Valencia victory Real Madrid put in another convincing performance in their last game before the start of the November international break as they visited Mestalla and beat Valencia with a 3-0 scoreline . Three players who are all in very good form, Federico Valverde, Arda Guler, and Kylian Mbappe, scored the three goals for the Merengue side. Meanwhile, another player who has been gradually growing in this team and has already become a very important part of Jose Mourinho’s scheme is the midfielder Bernardo Silva, who again started this game and helped his team control the tempo from the center of the pitch. As Diario AS has reported, the Portuguese playmaker also talked to the media after the game. Silva highlighted how the physical approach from Valencia and the referee’s leniency for their fouls made this game quite difficult for his team: “It was a difficult match against an aggressive team and with a referee who allowed that aggression. That made things complicated. Fede’s fantastic goal helped us a lot. I felt that we were always in control. We were organised and managed their transitions well. We won possession back quickly, and we’re happy with the three points.” The Real Madrid midfielder was happy with his team reaching eight consecutive wins, but was clear that they will have to continue with this run of form: “It means we’re in a good position to compete. We’re very happy, but those eight consecutive wins count for nothing now. We have to keep going like this. Keep winning and winning.” Silva highlighted his team’s quality in the attack and praised Federico Valverde’s goal: “It’s simple: he strikes the ball very well and should shoot even more often. The other goals came from some great combination play involving Jude and Arda. With this team and this quality, good things will always happen.” The Portuguese veteran was also happy with his team’s defensive effort and the clean sheet: “Very important. We always know that teams who defend better are better prepared for matches and for winning titles.” The Real Madrid midfielder was looking forward to returning to play at the Santiago Bernabeu after a run of away games: “We’re always eager to return home. I’m sure the fans will be waiting for us.” There is no doubt Bernardo Silva’s presence has allowed Real Madrid to play better and this improvement is also clear from the team’s results. Hopefully, he will continue playing at this level and help the Merengues become one of the very best teams in Europe and in Spain.
