Confirmed: Barcelona squad list to face Atletico Madrid – two familiar faces return Barcelona will want to avoid yet another mishap against a top team as they take on Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano this evening. The Catalans have officially announced their final squad for the travel to the Spanish capital, with Hansi Flick being boosted by the return of two key defenders, as reported earlier. Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen have both been given the medical clearance and will be available this evening against Atletico Madrid. Garcia is even a candidate to start the game in the right-back position, ahead of Brian Farinas, though the final decision will be made by Hansi Flick. Ebrima Tunkara is a part of the Barcelona squad, as the team copes with the absence of the injured Rodri. There are not too many highlights otherwise, with the likes of Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Marc Bernal also making the squad. Barcelona are missing quite a few players due to injury including former Atletico Madrid star Rodri as well as Dani Olmo and defenders Jules Kounde and Xavi Espart. Flick has some key decisions to make in defence and midfield, whereas the attack is more or less sorted. Anthony Gordon faces an important game and is likely to start ahead of Karim Adeyemi. He will be accompanied by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha to complete the Barcelona frontline.
