PLAYER RATINGS | Le Mans 1-1 Monaco: Late Erwan Colas goal extends Les Monégasques’ winless run Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Round 10, 08/11/26 AS Monaco conceded a last-minute goal against Le Mans FC (1-1) as their winless run in Ligue 1 was extended to five games. Les Sang et Or, meanwhile, register their first win since 19th September. The Match Matthis Abline had the ball in the back of the net midway through the first half, finishing first-time into an empty net from a pass across goal from Aleksandr Golovin, who had been offside in the build-up. Dame Gueye also had the ball in the net thanks to a flicked header. The offside call on this occasion was less clear but still existed. It was a scare for Monaco. But without forcing the issue, they took the lead before the break. Harold Voyer’s ball back to Nicolas Kocik was a strong one and it wasn’t well controlled by the Le Mans goalkeeper, who moments prior had gone down with a muscular injury. Mamadou Coulibaly was the opportunist, making the tackle and tapping home. Les Manceaux were the more enterprising of the two sides in the second half, despite an attacking triple change designed to add an attacking thrust to a side that really lacked it. Gueye saw a strike blocked by Sadibou Sané. Unable to shine on the ball, Monaco were unable to create the chances to put the game away and they were always at risk of letting the points slip. Erwan Colas dealt the Principality club a lesson, benefiting from a goalmouth scramble, finding himself in the right place to blast into the roof of the net. Les Monégasques are now without a win in their last five games in Ligue 1. The slide continues, even if the results in the Conference League continue to flow. Monaco player ratings Lukas Hradecky – 5 Nazinho – 5 Eric Dier – 6 Sadibou Sané – 4 Vanderson – 6 Lamine Camara – 5 Denis Zakaria – 4 Mathys Detourbet – 4 Alesksandr Golovin – 5 Mamadou Coulibaly – 5 Matthis Abline – 3 Very quiet and unable to get into the game prior to his exit in the 54th minute. Monaco have often played with two strikers this season but as the lone striker, he cut an isolated figure. The service that he did get wasn’t used to good effect. Le Mans selected player ratings Lucas Calodat – 7 A full-back who has spent his professional career so far toiling in the lower divisions, he showed his ability to compete at this level. He was a livewire down the left. He created dangerous situations, broke lines, and showed good decision-making in the final third. Dame Gueye – 5 GFFN | Luke Entwistle
