Carnevali starts work as Juventus CEO and has one immediate priority Giovanni Carnevali officially begins his journey as the new CEO of Juventus on Monday and will immediately hold meetings with the club’s accounting team in order to establish the club’s budget and potential for summer transfers according to reports in Italy. What’s on the agenda for Carnevali on his first day at Juventus? Carnevali has spent the last 12 years as CEO of Sassuolo, but has made the move to Turin following the departure of Damien Comolli, who has recently left his position at the top of the Juventus hierarchy after one year in charge. Carnevali officially begins his new job today and it is understood that he will immediately hold a series of meetings to get a full understanding of the club’s accounts. According to Tuttosport , one of the immediate priorities for Carnevali is to get a full understanding of the club’s settlement agreement with UEFA, which will determine exactly how much Juventus are able to spend, and more importantly, how much they will need to bring in from outgoing transfers this summer. It is anticipated that Juventus will have to sell players in order to comply with UEFA’s financial rules, and in order to make up for the expected drop in revenues from the club’s failure to qualify for the 2026-27 edition of the Champions League. However, Tuttosport claims that Carnevali is determined to study all potential solutions and that keeping hold of the Brazilian could still be a possibility. Sunday’s reports also suggest that Carnevali will attempt to reignite talks with striker Dusan Vlahovic over a potential new contract upon the request of head coach Luciano Spalletti. The feeling is that keeping hold of the Serbian will make life easier from a financial point of view, especially if the club can avoid going into the market to sign one, potentially two new centre-forwards this summer.
